Contenda ("we", "us", "our") is operated as a sole trader based in England. We provide an AI-powered letter generation service at contenda.co.uk. You can contact us at hello@contenda.co.uk.

2. What data we collect

• Account data: your name and email address when you register
• Letter data: the answers you provide to generate letters, and the letters themselves
• Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details
• Usage data: anonymous analytics (page views, sessions) via Vercel Analytics — no cookies used

3. How we use your data

• To create and store your account
• To generate dispute letters using AI
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To improve the service

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models.

4. Third-party services

• Supabase — stores your account and letter data (EU servers)
• Stripe — processes payments (see Stripe's privacy policy)
• Anthropic — AI letter generation (your answers are sent to Anthropic's API)
• Vercel — hosts the application and provides privacy-preserving analytics

5. Your rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@contenda.co.uk. You can delete your account from your dashboard at any time, which will remove all your personal data.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data and letters for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your data within 30 days. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by UK tax law.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication. Our analytics (Vercel Analytics) are cookieless and do not track individuals. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email.
